    It’s the perfect way to end your week—bring your family, friends, or simply yourself. Take a moment to pause, unwind, and enjoy live music in the company of neighbors and nature.

  • Wild Woods Restoration Seed Collection Workshop

    We’re excited to welcome the Wild Woods Restoration Project to Closter Nature Center for a seed collection workshop. Experts from Wild Woods will lead the program.  Learn how to collect, clean, and sow seeds with experts from Wild Woods Restoration Project! Participants will gather seeds directly from the Closter Nature Center forest and gain hands-on experience to help grow native plants. Perfect for nature enthusiasts and budding restorationists alike!.

    Everyone is welcome, and no prior experience is necessary. Participation is limited to 10 people, and advance registration is required.

    Join us for a magical evening on the water! Paddle under the moonlight on scenic Ruckman Pond, guided by our welcoming staff and volunteers. After your paddle, gather around a crackling bonfire to roast s’mores and soak in the cozy ambiance.

    Live music from the "Music by the Pond" ensemble will add a soundtrack to the night; and the Closter Nature Center naturalist will be on hand to share fun and fascinating facts about the pond's nighttime ecosystem.

    All ages welcome
    Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
