Donate a minimum of $150 before December 31^st and choose one of the following 1-hour Winter Family Nature Adventure Experiences guided by Mr. Marc. This private event will be exclusive to your own immediate family living together in the same household. These adventures will create warm winter memories for families or make a great gift for the nature lovers in your life!  Reserve space early to ensure a date of your choosing. Scheduling will be flexible and coordinated with individual families, based on availability and the event you select (event can be enjoyed next year).  CDC protocols are followed for our events.

Winter Family Adventures

1. 1. Guided Forest Adventure - Explore our trails and learn about native (and some not so native) flora and fauna. From natural history to native American lore come see what gems the forest has to offer.

1. 2. Nocturnal Wildlife Hike - Everything looks different at night, and there are many nocturnal species at the nature center. If you are very quiet and very lucky you may even see an Owl or catch a glimpse of a flying squirrel.

1. 3. Fishing 101 - How to fish for beginners - we will provide everything you need, or bring your own gear. You will learn about fishing basics from equipment and safety to proper techniques and maybe even hook 'the big one'.

1. 4. Campfire Experience - Come enjoy an evening by the fire with marshmallows and hot cocoa

and see a fire started with the lost techniques of our ancient ancestors.

1. 5. Edible Plants Foraging Hike - Natures’ bounty is here waiting for you. Come learn about what local plants are edible and how to put them to use in the kitchen.

- Note that these experiences are strictly limited to families living in the same household. Participants will be subject to temperature screening and COVID screening questions prior to the event. 

- Masks must be worn to protect our naturalist

- Bring a Flashlight for the night hike

- Scheduling will be coordinated on a best efforts and availability basis depending on the event you choose, our availability, etc.

- We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. You will be provided with a receipt for your donation for tax purposes. The estimated value of the nature experience is $75.
