Adult Programs

The Closter Nature Center hosts events targeted to our adult and senior community.  These programs can be led by CNC staff, but we often bring in a variety of guest speakers to teach, speak, or lead other adventures within our nature reserve.

These events might include:

  • Bird walks

  • Participation in the Audubon's Christmas Bird Count

  • Organized Hikes/Walks

  • Lectures on topics like ecology, animal behavior, local history, conservation efforts, and much more!

Community Events

Closter Nature Center opens its doors to the general public for multiple special events throughout the year.  These events include:

  • The CNC Annual Soup Supper

  • The Annual Pond Celebration

  • Scout Events

  • Partnership events with other nature centers and community organizations!
