Join us at the Closter Nature Center for a fun-filled community day the whole family will enjoy! Whether you’re a kid or just a kid at heart, there’s something for everyone at this beloved annual event.

  • Canoe Rides on the Pond – Paddle around scenic Ruckman Pond!

  • Creative Arts & Crafts – Let your imagination run wild.

  • Tie-Dye T-Shirt Station – Make and take home a colorful keepsake.

  • Pond Science Exploration – Discover the wonders of pond life with hands-on activities.

Many of the activities are free of charge and open to all ages.

Want to help make our Pond Celebration a success?

We need volunteers for set-up (11 am start), event stations, and clean-up (4-5 pm). If you’re interested in volunteering for this fun community event, email naturalist@closternaturecenter.org with the subject “Pond Celebration Volunteer”!
